Shipping methods

International shipping - Japan Forwarding Service

  • Transbang provide the following international shipping service: EMS, AIR, SAL, or Surface. See below for details.

  • When package arrives at destination customs, Duties and Taxes may be assessed on the package according to the law of destination country. Customer shall be liable to pay the tax by following the customs notice.

  • Transbang ship to 233 countries worldwide. Delivery methods and volume weight limitation of package might be different in different countries, please check by using our Shipping Fee Calculator and check JP Post before shipping (http://www.post.japanpost.jp/cgi-kokusai/index_search.php), or contact our customer service.

Shipping Method   Highly recommended! Ship by Air with Top Priority. EMS is Fast and secured.. Fees are relatively high since posts will be sent by air. Sent by surface. While delivery takes 1 to 3 months, the rates are reasonable. It transports items by air at lower priority than air mail. The service is faster than surface mail while the cost is lower than airmail. **SAL is only available for a limited number of countries and territories

What should I do if my package is damaged in transit? - Japan Forwarding Service

  • For parcel sent by EMS, AIR, SEA, SAL through Japanese Post, please reject the parcel and don’t sign for delivery. Ask the post worker to provide investigation and claim form of damage(CN24) and scan them to Transbang, Transbang will contact Japanese Post for the following process.

  • Japanese Post will compensate appropriate amount after the investigation( exact amount is based on the post regulation, for not insured goods, the maximum amount for compensation is 20000 yen and usually it will not exceeds the declared value), if not, customers should be responsible for the loss.

  • Note: It takes around 2-3 months to conduct investigation.

  • Note: For fragile goods like ceramics, fine crafts, glass products, vinyl player, speakers are not covered by the article, members should be responsible for any loss.

Q What should I do if my package lost in transit? - Japan Forwarding Service

Transbang will request Japanese Post for compensation for the parcels sent by EMS, AIR, SEA, SAL through Japanese Post. Japanese Post will compensate appropriate amount after the investigation( exact amount is based on the post regulation, for not insured goods, the maximum amount for compensation is 20000 yen and usually it will not exceeds the declared value).

    Note: It takes around 2-3 months to conduct investigation.。
Charge for Customs Declaration Deputation - Japan Forwarding Service

For each package exported from Japan and declared over 200,000 yen, it’s obligatory to depute Japan Post for clearance. Japan Post will charge 2,800 yen for each category as a deputation fee. This policy starts from April 1, 2017.

It’s also applicable to packages imported or returned from other countries. Here are the rates for imported and returned packages:
．1-2 categories will be charged 6,600 yen per category.
．3-6 categories will be charged 9,300 yen per category.
．More than 7 categories will be charged 12,000 yen per category.

If a package is exported from Japan and declared over 200,000 yen, but it's returned to Japan, one will need to pay the deputation fee TWICE.

For instance,
If you declare a package more than 200,000 yen, including 3 books, 2 cameras, and 1 bag, you will be charged 2,800*3= 8400 yen as the deputation fee when exporting.
However, if later this package is returned to Japan, you’ll need to pay the deputation fee again, and this time it’s 9,300*3= 27,900 yen.
